Looking for some cold brew-skies and some good eats? Keep your tastes local, and visit the Appalachian Brewing Company, located at 50 Norther Cameron Street in Harrisburg, PA.

While there, you’ll enjoy a warm and family-friendly dining experience with an innovative menu that features innovative natural and local ingredients, along with a constantly changing selection of flagship and seasonal craft beers.

Founded in 1997, the Appalachian Brewing Company (ABC) first started its original brewery and brewpub in a 100-year-old abandoned building. It was later completely restored to create one of America’s largest brewpubs.

ABC now operates six restaurants, each with their own small-batch craft beer brewery. They also run a full-scale Appalachian Craft Soda manufacturing facility that’s located in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Tastes
The Appalachian Brewing Company offers a variety of flagship beers that can be enjoyed year-round. Some include:

Aero-Head Bock: A semi-sweet German-style bock beer that will hit your senses with its bold, upfront flavor, then tickle your tongue with its light hoppiness.

Outta Focus Double IPA: Brewed in Pacific Northwest style, this brew features expansive amounts of Pilgrim, Millenium, Syrian and Cascade hops.

Water Gap Wheat Ale: This American-style wheat beer is light and refreshing with its high percentage of malted wheat.

Available on the first Friday of every month, ABC releases a new Seasonal Specialty Beer, along with dozens of small-batch Specialty Beers brewed at their various brewpub locations. Some noted Seasonal and Specialty Brews include:

Rutty Buck Pumpkin’ Ale: With its inclusion of real pumpkin, the Rutty Buck Pumpkin’ Ale is a favorite fall ale.

Grinnin’ Grizzly Holiday Spiced Ale: Dosed with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and fresh orange zest, this amber ale is the perfect addition to the holiday season.

Small-batch brewed with only the finest ingredients, check out these fun and tasty beverages by ABC – hold the alcohol!

Appalachian Root Beer (and diet): Caffeine and gluten-free, Appalachian Root Beer is an ABC original that provides the bubbly, old-fashioned taste of homemade root beer. There is also a diet version that uses the all-natural sweetener Stevia and a drop of honey.

Appalachian Ginger Beer: Brewed with pure Appalachian water, ABC uses cane sugar and fresh ginger extract to make up this Jamaican-style Ginger Beer. With it comes a complexity that’s spicy and tart with a kick of ginger.
