The 2017 Toyota Corolla iM: A Great Choice for Your Next Compact Sedan
2016 stands as the last year Toyota offered their much-loved Scion iM. If you are like many fans of the Scion, then this is sad news. But before you worry about whether you’ll ever like another car as much, we have some good news! For the 2017 lineup year, the Toyota Corolla has taken over the iM series – a near identical version of the Scion iM. Here’s a closer look at the 2017 Toyota Corolla iM and why it’s a great choice for your next compact sedan.
One Well-Equipped Trim
While many sedans come in multiple trim levels, each varying in price, content and design elements, the 2017 Toyota Corolla iM features just one well-equipped model. Standard content highlights include everything from alloy wheels and automatic headlights to rearview camera and central touchscreen. It also boasts many accessories and dealer-installed options that are definitely worth your consideration, such as a larger rear spoiler and Toyota Racing Development upgrades, plus a fob that helps you more easily locate misplaced keys.
There are also a number of color options to choose from, including:
Black Sand Pearl
Barcelona Red Metallic
Spring Green Metallic
Electronic Storm Blue
One area that truly stands out about the 2017 Toyota Corolla iM is its great comfort. The Corolla iM’s seats, for example, are some of the most comfortable and supportive in the segment. They also provide a broad range of adjust-ability to best contour to those of tall height.
Also aiding in the Corolla iM’s high comfort level is its ride quality. With controlled suspension, it does a great job of soaking up bumps and other road discrepancies, which makes it a smooth experience for all passengers.
There’s nothing worse than a car that can’t fit everything you need it to. Luckily, another area where Toyota’s 2017 Corolla iM excels is in utility. For small, personal items, the Corolla iM features a good supply of bins and storage areas throughout its cabin. Door bins are deep and provide great space. Cup holders are also abundant with two in the front seat, two in the back, and one in each door. Cargo space is a bit smaller than some hatchbacks in the segment, but its measurements aren’t bad with 20.8 cubic feet available behind its rear seats. Also note that because the Corolla iM is a hatchback, it is definitely more versatile than the traditional sedan Corolla.
